PU-ISSER organized a discussion on Gender Equality in the celebration of upcoming International Women’s Day on March 5, 2026 by Dr. Reena Rani Chaudhary, Assistant Professor, Center for Distance and Online Education, Panjab University, Chandigarh. Prof. Anju Suri, Coordinator, PU-ISSER welcomed the guest and discussed about the theme. Nearly fifty undergraduate and post-graduate students attended the lecture. The lecture emphasized on how gender is what we create, experience and live. Various examples were given across issues such as STEM, safety concerns, sanitation access, MeToo movement etc. Difference between progress and equality was highlighted through various case studies and examples. The lecture was followed by an interactive session with students. PU-ISSER continues to integrate informative and insightful lecture into its academic framework to strengthen experiential learning and promote informed citizenship.
