ISSER Students Attend Budget Session at Haryana Vidhan Sabha

The Panjab University - Institute of Social Science Education and Research (PU-ISSER), organized an educational visit to the Haryana Vidhan Sabha on 23rdFebruary 2026 during the ongoing Budget Session.

Nearly fifty undergraduate students, accompanied by faculty members and staff observed the proceedings of the House during the Zero Hour. The visit provided first-hand exposure to legislative functioning, executive accountability, and budgetary discussions. The Speaker welcomed PU-ISSER faculty, staff and students in the house. The students witnessed Speaker and Member Legislative Assembly discussing various key policies and issues.

The initiative forms part of PU-ISSER’s emphasis on field-based learning in social science education. By engaging directly with democratic institutions, students gain practical insight into constitutional processes, governance mechanisms, and public policy.

PU-ISSER continues to integrate educational field visits into its academic framework to strengthen experiential learning and promote informed citizenship.
